Tingling Tech Senses: OS X Mountain Lion

I use a Macbook Pro to do all my work. Photo editing, writing blog posts, writing stories, twitter and everything else related to reading.
I love this computer and I got really happy when Apple announced OS X Mountain Lion. It sure has some neat features, but there's a few features that made me extra happy.

iCloud

iCloud is going to be a blast to use with Mountain Lion and the upcoming iOS 6. Pages will receive full iCloud support and as I like to write, I can have my stuff pushed to my iPhone in case I need to change or add something. I've already had a small taste of this. I downloaded an app on my computer via iTunes and it was instantly pushed and installed on my iPhone without me realizing it. Added iCloud support is going to be great!

Messages

I think everyone knows what iMessage is by now… and it will be available for Mac! I had the opportunity to try the beta version of Messages for OS X Lion but, as it was a beta version, it worked as expected. I don't know how much use I will have of this as regular SMS/MMS will not be supported by Messages, but it's cool nevertheless!

Safari

Safari is going to see lots of improvements with OS X Mountain Lion.
The external search bar has been merged with the address bar, just like in Google Chrome. Finally. It's a huge timesaver!
iCloud Tabs is a new thing as well. Let's say you're on the train home and you browse around on your iPad. During this train ride you find this interesting article that you didn't have time to finish because you had to pack up your stuff and leave the train. When you get home later and open your Mac to do some work, you remember the article. Well, it's all there. The tab you had open on your iPad is now viewable on your apple devices!

There is of course lots of new stuff that I haven't covered in this article, but that's because I am not as hyped over them.

Thanks for reading!
